We experienced what will obviously be the only transit problem of our entire trip: the train from the Oslo airport to Oslo had technical difficulties halfway along. They summonsed a whole bunch of cabs for us, but we made it into the city quite late. Therefore, we've been spending our time so far at Ellen's cute little flat instead of out at her parents' larger house in the suburbs. For Kate and I, this has been great. Ellen claims it's great for her too, however she is the one who is now sleeping on a little mattress on the floor of the living room, and so I'm not too sure if I believe her.
Ellen hosted a dinner party last night; there were seven of us total and it was fabulous. Lots of wine and good food and great conversation. For our first proper Norwegian dinner we had a delicious pot of reindeer.
