Nuts, Scouts and Dumplings: Sunday in HK

Scouting Scouts
We are staying in the BP hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Now, I thought BP might stand for, oh, I don’t know British Pension or British something. Nope. It stands for Baden Powell. Just in case you are not up to snuff on your scouting history, Baden Powell is the founder of the Boy Scouts. This is a scout-y hotel. There is a portrait of Mr. Powell himself along with sculptures of scouts. There is a Scout store on the 10th floor that looks like it sells some excellent camping equipment. There are also many uniformed scouts coming in and out of the building. In case you wondered, even when they are old, they are cute in their uniforms.

Nut Mosaic
Today we saw the Guiness record holding largest nut mosaic in the world. Yep, you read that right, we saw the largest mosaic made out of nuts in the world. We did not plan on viewing this particular tourist sensation, but we had a long time to wait for Dim Sum and the nut mosaic was nearby.

Sunday brunch in Hong Kong:
We went to a fancy dim sum place for breakfast/lunch today. This is the kind of place to which you take your clients, or your parents. It is massive, it is fancy, it has a view of the harbor. I have been working really hard to get sick of dim sum while we are here. So far the plan is not working.

Beer, Beer, Beer (and girls)
Today was beer fest day in Hong Kong. How could we resist?
