I am sad to leave this lovely town with its cute children and warm adults. Battambang has been rejuvenating for us. We spent 4 days exploring, admiring, waving and smiling. Parents and grand parents brought over their babies to meet us (and only twice did the baby cry) and we talked with young men who wanted to practice their English. We were not treated as a mark or as giant walking dollar signs. Mostly we were ignored as people went on with their lives. Occasionally they chatted us up, or waved and smiled. Kids would come up to us to talk, and then run away when they had used all the English words they know.
